Meditation | Beginner
Beginner Guided Meditation
A guided meditation for the beginner. Great way to start the day! Can be done on the floor or in a chair – both postures will be addressed. The focus will be on breathe awareness and body scan. 10 – 15 minutes.
- For beginners of all ages
- Secular, non-denominational
Shuddhi Kriyas | Beginner/Intermediate – Yoga
Yoga Cleansing Processes
Basic yoga cleansing processes – you can choose what you would like your workshop participants to learn depending on their abilities and the facilities available (equipment extra i.e. neti pot, rubber sutra):
- Agnisara –preparatory practices for doing the Nauli, which purify and strengthen the vital internal organs as a whole.
- Kapalabhati – breathing technique for purifying the frontal region of the brain.
- Neti – jaal & (more advanced) rubber sutra – nasal/sinus cleansing.
- Trataka – eye purification
- Vaman Dhauti – (vomiting) cleansing the upper intestinal tract up to the stomach.
Asanas | Beginner – Yoga Class
Beginner Yoga Class
50 0r 20 minutes of group lead asana yoga – Hatha and vinyasa style. Can be adjusted for chair yoga or therapeutic yoga, but always slow, with lot’s of guidance for the beginner and first time yoga student.
Ayurveda | Lecture – Ayurvedic
The Basics of Ayurveda
Covers the 5 elements and the 3 doshas. Participants with be given a handout to help them identify their dominant dosha prior to the lecture. After this lecture, participants with be able to:
- Identify their dominate dosha
- How to maintain dosha balance through diet and other lifestyle changes.
- Steps they can take to keep their health and wellbeing in balance through Ayurveda.
Pranayama | Beginner – Yoga
Beginner Pranayama (Yogic breathing)
For first time and beginning students of yogic breathing. We’ll start with a lecture on the physiology and philosophy of pranayama and its place in Yoga today. Breath maintained at a comfortable 1:1 rato. The student will learn:
- Nadi Shodhana (alternate nostril breathing)
- Ujjayi Pranayama
- Brahmari Pranayama
Pranayama | Intermediate – Yoga
Intermediate Pranayama (Yogic breathing)
For students familiar with yogic breathing basics. Can also be taught after the Beginner Pranayama Breathing Workshop. More information on the physiological aspects of yogic breathing will be discussed and breathe ratio will be 1:2

Yoga | Workshop
Japa Mala Chanting
Learn the basics of meditative and devotion chanting on a prayer necklace. We will be using traditional 108+1 beaded prayer malas. Chants can be secular or non-secular (Vedic or Christian). Participants can bring their own mala or purchase one in the class.
